Yesterday, Maggie’s family and friends celebrated the (soon-to-be) 1 year old. There were a lot (A LOT) of people laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Maggie’s party had a Minnie Mouse theme, as you’ll see below. Part of the entertainment was a balloon guy– and I have to tell you, I have never seen anything like that in my life! He made the most incredible things, amazing kids and adults alike.
Of course, one of my favorite parts of 1st birthday parties is the cake smash. You never know if the child is going to love it or hate it (I’ve seen and documented both!) It’s safe to say that Maggie was a fan. After starting by delicately picking the red icing dots off the cake, she started eating it by the handful. I don’t blame her– cakes by Katie Winstead of A Perfect Bite are pretty delicious!
