Downtown Franklin TN family session II

I thought it would be good to show more, so here’s a downtown Franklin family session from last year with a trio of boys.  These columns are one of my favorite spots to stop with kids!

Downtown Franklin TN family session

I’ve been chatting with lots of families recently about location ideas for their upcoming sessions, and I realized that I have never blogged a session from downtown Franklin.  Oops!  I’m honestly not quite sure how that happened except my blogging has gotten a lot less frequent than it used to be because, well, life happened.  I know you moms know exactly what I am talking about!  With kids around, whole hours and days pass without me even realizing it sometimes.  After getting requests for what a session might look like in downtown Franklin, I thought I’d share when I met up with one of my favorite families there back in the summer.

2017 Santa Mini Sessions | Nashville child photographer

It is time for my 3rd annual Santa Mini Sessions!

These are not your typical Santa session.  You are not rushed through the line or waiting for hours at the mall.  Your child will have time to actually sit and talk to Santa!  They can bring wishlists to show him and discuss.  I allot around 5 minutes per session, knowing that some are shorter and some are longer depending on how your child reacts.  My clients have raved the past two years about how relaxing our pace is.  Your child may laugh, he may cry, or he may be completely in awe.  Regardless, I will work hard to make sure we have some beautiful images to document our time together.

New this year: you will get to select your 4 images from a gallery!

If you’d like, you will also have the option to purchase additional images.  Families who do a fall half/full/newborn session with me will be gifted two extra digital images of their choice.

Full payment is due upon booking.  No refunds are given.  If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact me and ask about transferring your balance to a future session.

I’m waiting for this family’s gallery to upload, so I thought I’d take a few minutes and blog this session as well so the rest of you can see it, too.  For 1 year old sessions, I recommend clients go with a full session so we have enough time to do both posed portraits and a cake smash.  The combination makes for a great variety of images.  If clients choose to do a half session at 1 year, I tell them that they either need to pick the cake smash or posed images due to the time/mess (with the cake!)/outfit changes/etc.  Of course, the cake isn’t a requirement at a full session.  Last weekend, I did another 1 year old milestone full session, and the mom chose not to do a cake smash because her son had not enjoyed the cake at his party.  She knew it likely wouldn’t go well, and I appreciate that she had realistic expectations because this allowed us to incorporate some other fun items at the session.  That session is still on my editing to-do list, but hopefully I can post some of those ideas here when I’m finished.

Cousins | Franklin child photographer

No adults in this session!  We met in Franklin and focused instead on a set of four young cousins.  Each child got a turn getting individual images, and we also did group images.  Since one set of siblings doesn’t live locally, this session was high priority for their mamas.  I think they were pleased with the results!
