Xavier and family | Brentwood Baby Photographer

Do not be fooled by this handsome little snoozer.  He only slept about 10 minutes of the time I was with his family today.  Truth be told, though, he has a fairly good excuse.  You see, Xavier was born 11 weeks early.  Did you catch that?  ELEVEN weeks. His due date (in September) hasn’t even passed yet. The little guy just got out of the hospital on Saturday.  We’ll give him a pass on not cooperating with posing just this once. 🙂  Though he has gained weight and is doing well, he still can’t quite regulate his body temperature. Therefore, he was happiest when we kept him swaddled.  This suited me just fine, as I love the layers of different textures that the blankets create!

Here’s his big sister, Lissie, who you may remember from a birthday celebration a few months ago.  We made sure she got her chance in front of the camera, too. 🙂

Proud big sister!

The blue blanket (above) was knitted by a family member for Xavier.

Sloane: 9 months | Nashville Baby Photographer

Sloane is a regular around here– you’ve seen her as a newborn, 3 month old, and 6 month old up to this point.  Every time I see her, she looks more and more like her daddy!  Though he didn’t come along today to get in any photos, we still did some especially for him.  He enjoys country things, so Sloane’s mama put together a cowgirl outfit– red cowboy hat, jean jacket, and bandana print dress.  That combined with our setting at Harlinsdale Farm made for some precious photos.  While posing for that particular set, Sloane spied a dog being walked nearby, and she became quite giddy.  I believe she may need one of her own in the future.  It was hilarious!

There’s the dog!

Henry: 1 year old | Nashville Baby Photographer

I met Henry, who turned 1 just two weeks ago, and his parents yesterday.  Man, I am loving this weather!  It is such a relief from how miserable and hot July was.  We met in the morning and enjoyed walking around Centennial Park, one of their favorite places to go as a family. Henry’s mom, Rachel, had read on my blog that I recommend bringing some fun, personal items, so they did just that!  I LOVE the wooden toy car, and Henry enjoyed pushing his cart with the birthday balloon.  These were perfect touches and made for some super cute photos, as you’ll see. 🙂

Liam and fam | Nashville Family Photographer

You may remember that I met James and Andrea for a maternity shoot at the end of May.  Fast forward a couple months, and baby Liam is here!  (Major props to mama, who carried for a week and a half past her due date!)  Andrea’s parents, sister, brother-in-law, and their two girls came in town recently, which was quite a feat since they live in so many different places (Texas, Florida, and DC, to name a few). High on their list of to-dos was capturing photos with all the different combinations of family– cousins-only shot, grandparents with grandchildren, sisters, individual families, etc. Nine people certainly makes for a busy, but fun session!  Baby Liam amazingly slept through the entire thing, too. 🙂

Winston: 5 months | Nashville Baby Photographer

One of the first things people always talk about with babies is who they look like.  Well, there is no doubt who Winston resembles… just take a look!

I met this family this morning after a quick chain of events.  Taylor, Winston’s mom, saw a photo I posted on Facebook from Lexi’s birthday party and called me within an hour or two of it being up.  She then explained that they are moving out of town on Saturday and wondered if I could somehow squeeze them in this week.  With a help from a friend who was able to watch my little guy, Matthew, we worked out a session this morning.  The skies were overcast, which made for really gorgeous light.  Between that and a content baby, we lucked out!
