Sloane: 1 year | Nashville Baby Photographer

This sweet girl has been in front of my camera FIVE times in the last 12 months.  I love that!  It’s so fun getting to do a series of sessions because I get to see my little friends grow and change.  Sloane has learned to walk since I last saw her, and she sure was on the move today!  Letting her hold a balloon was one of the few things that convinced her to hold still. 🙂

Don’t mind her– she’s just cruisin’ along in her pink convertible!

Madeleine | Nashville & Franklin TN newborn photographer

This post is going up a bit later today than originally planned, but that’s because I’m learning how to juggle working with having two little boys at home with me!  Yesterday, I got to meet newborn Madeleine, who joined big brother Everett.  She is a sweetie pie, but had absolutely no interest in sleeping.  You’ll get to see her baby blues below. 🙂  Her mama thinks that Madeleine may have her days and nights mixed up!  I hope for their sake that she figures it out soon.  Being in the middle of newborn baby-ness at our own house, I have lots of empathy for my tired mamas.  Regardless, we got some sweet shots, and I even had a chance to get a few of Everett by himself, too.

I have been on (self-imposed) maternity leave since September 1, and I’m happy to report that I will be back behind my camera in just a couple weeks!  I’m only taking a limited number of sessions each month right now since Andrew is still little (6 weeks old today!), so please check in with me ASAP if you want to get on my calendar. 🙂 You can either click on “Get in touch” at the top of the page or email me at elizabeth@elizabethclementsphotography.com

Because a post is always better with a photo, here’s a shot of my two boys from this morning:

Molly is home! | Nashville Family Photographer

Tonight was a first for me.  I got to be a part of welcoming home a newly adopted child when she and her parents arrived at the airport.  Not only is that a wonderful thing in and of itself (love that an orphan was saved!), but this was also the much-anticipated homecoming of some close friends of ours.  It was just beautiful.  A nice crowd gathered to welcome them, and we celebrated together!  Without further ado, here is Molly’s arrival earlier this evening:

They’ve landed!

Totally hilarious– one of the friends who was waiting with the group is an avid UT fan.  Scott (Molly’s dad), on the other hand, is a big Vandy fan.  The friend arranged for the singer at Tootsie’s (right behind us) to welcome Molly home… and then start singing “Rocky Top”.  This was Scott’s reaction.

Personal Post: art + Molly | Franklin TN Family Photographer

Matthew and I undertook a little art project this morning.  You see, our friends Becky and Scott are bringing home their newly adopted daughter from China TODAY.  There’s a large group of us who have been following and supporting them through this long process, and it is so exciting to think that Molly is almost to her new home!  It has been really interesting to learn about the process because I knew nothing about how it all worked.  Tonight, we’ll head to the airport to celebrate and welcome the three of them home.  Matthew is going to be holding a sign (our morning art project), and I’m going to be photographing the whole thing.  Make sure to check out Facebook and my blog later tonight/tomorrow for preview photos from their arrival!

After finishing the sign, Matthew wasn’t ready to stop creating, so we switched to practicing using glue and some fun new foam shapes. 🙂
