Pop family | Nashville family photographer

We seriously lucked out on the weather today!  Whew!  After yesterday’s rain, I wondered if I might be stepping around puddles and mud today. We had really beautiful light filtering through the clouds, not a drop of rain during our shoot, and a pleasant temperature.  I don’t think we could have ordered a better one if we tried!

You last saw these fun family on my blog a year and a half ago when I visited them to celebrate Gabby turning one.  That was a seriously fun cake smash.  Today, the four of them and I met at the Ag Center in Nashville, which is a really fun location with lots of different types of backdrops.  The kids were great listeners and were totally game for the different things I had them try.  They were full of personality and smiles, as you’ll see. 🙂   At the end of our session, they opted for a little “Ring-around-the-Rosie”.  It was really sweet seeing how the three of them played together.

They each had their own take on sitting in the chair. 🙂

Miles: 4 weeks old | Nashville newborn photographer

This little fellow just turned 4 weeks old.  His mom called me hoping to get some newborn photos because she realized how quickly he was changing!  With my own two boys, I felt like they dramatically changed within the first month or two.  It’s really important to capture this phase.  Typically, I aim to shoot newborns within their first two weeks of life for a variety of reasons– babies are sleepier, they are more compact still (easier to keep legs posed), etc.  When I spoke with Miles’ mom, I warned her that we might not be able to get some of the “typical” sleeping baby shots.  We were both game to try, though, so I went to their home just two days after she called me.  Miles put up a little bit of resistance at first (see his gorgeous eyes in blue wrap shot below), but he eventually snoozed away and let me pose him.  He wins the award for best newborn lips I’ve seen in a while, too!  Just precious.

Graham | Nashville newborn photographer

This sweet boy was just 11 days old when we met at his home yesterday.  Graham joined a family that includes 3 year old twin big brothers, and they sure do love him!  I’m sure the three of them will get into all sorts of boy shenanigans when he’s a bit older.  My husband is one of three boys, and he and his brothers certainly did.  🙂  It was really fun to spend time with Graham yesterday and try to figure out who he looks like.  He definitely has certain features that favor each brother (who, in turn, each favor one of the parents).  Poor mama is seriously outnumbered in this house, but I’m sure it means she’ll get some extra special attention from the boys!  Leave this sweet family a comment if you love their preview. 🙂

(Sigh) I love lash shots.

Didn’t they do a great job??

Brady: 2 months | Nashville Baby Photographer

Brady just turned two months old a few days ago, and I enjoyed getting to spend part of my afternoon with him!  He is a super sweet, very calm baby.  With a little coaxing, we got to see a full array of smiles!  There was a good amount of cooing, as well.  (Music to my ears!) He went straight down for a nap as I was packing up, so I consider that a job well done!  I hope you enjoy the sneak peek for this sweet little guy and his parents. 🙂

Hanging around on the changing table is a favorite– perhaps for both of them. 🙂

The family’s last name is Berger, so check out the cute applique onesie that a friend gifted them!

Maggie’s 2nd birthday | Nashville Birthday Photographer

Yesterday, I joined some family and friends to celebrate Maggie’s 2nd birthday at a fun indoor play place called Monkey’s Treehouse.  Check out her invitations and decorations that also followed the monkey theme.  It was a great party full of running, laughing, and smiling!

Must be good icing. 🙂
