Ava: 1 year old | Franklin TN baby photographer

Yesterday, I rounded out my weekend trifecta of baby girls with Miss Ava.  Her sweet face may look familiar to you– it’s on my home page as the link to this blog! (See it here: www.elizabethclementsphotography.com and the rest of the images from her last shoot here: https://www.elizabethclementsphotography.com/ava-7-months-franklin-tn-baby-photographer/). Ava is technically a little over 1, but her mama opted to save her 1 year old shoot for April since the weather would be so much nicer.  I don’t blame her! February is a bit bleak for outside photo shoots.  We had the most perfect weather (albeit a bit windy)!  I’m trying to not think about how they’re saying we are going to be back in the 30’s tomorrow (and maybe even have a slight chance of snow?!?!)  Let’s just all look at these images and pretend that it is still warm. Just a reminder– I’m currently booking for May and June.  If you’re interested in scheduling a spring/summer session, you can either email me or fill out the contact form (“Get in Touch”) above.  If you’re interested in a fall session (yep, I’m getting those inquiries!), I’ll be opening my fall shooting calendar on July 1.  If you’d like to be on an email list to remind you about this, let me know!   Ava 1 yr 03 web Ava 1 yr 01 webAva 1 yr 02 webAva 1 yr 05 webAva 1 yr 06 webAva 1 yr 07 webAva 1 yr 08 webAva 1 yr 09 webAva 1 yr 10 web

Abigail: 6 months | Franklin TN baby photographer

My second session of the day yesterday was with this family of three, who you may remember from a newborn session last fall.  See it here: Abigail’s newborn session.  They requested that I bring the white basket to use again at this session.  I  included a side-by-side so you could see what I’m talking it.  It’s fun to do something like that so you can compare a child’s growth.  If you’d like to do something like this for your session, let me know!  We could use a lovey, chair, favorite toy, etc.  There are a variety of options for something like this.

Looking through the preview images below, I think you’ll have a hard time telling who was having more fun– Abigail or her parents.  I particularly love the individual moments she had with her mama and daddy.

Genevieve: 8 months | Franklin TN baby photographer

The spring weather we’ve been waiting for has officially shown up!  Today was AMAZING– I sure hope that you all got to spend some time outside, too.  I met two families in Franklin for shoots this morning and then headed to my son’s first baseball game.  Once we were back home, my family played outside for a couple more hours.  We were determined to maximize our outside time and soak up the sun.  I can’t help but smile when I’m outside playing with my boys or clients and it feels so refreshing out.

My first little friend that I met with this morning was Genevieve, who is new to ECP.  She is an 8 month old bundle of smiles!  You’ll see what I’m talking about below.  Genevieve, her parents, and I had a great time being silly and chatting.

*Make sure you look at all of the images– the last one absolutely SLAYS me!  This sweet baby is not a fan of being on her tummy, but I really wanted a tummy shot.  We saved it for the very last image to try.  Mama put her in place and then ran so I could capture it before she got frustrated or rolled over.  SOO worth it.  I think you’ll agree when you see it!

Miles: 1 year old | Franklin TN cake smash photographer

One of the hardest parts of my job is deciding which images to show in a preview.  There are always way too many that I love and want to include!  Miles here was a pro.  I’m telling you– I have NEVER had a 1 year old this ready to pose before.  He was full of smiles and silly expressions.  At one point, I was telling his mom that I loved the vertical image I had just captured and that I wanted to get a horizontal one next.  What did Miles do?  He squatted down in the cutest little pose (you’ll see if below) and waited for me.  No joke.  We could not stop laughing at what a little model he was!

After some individual and family images (look for a precious sibling shot below!), we set up for a cake smash.  Boy, oh boy, are those fun.  You never know what is going to happen!  It was such a pleasure to meet Miles and his family.  Hope you all love their preview!

Granddaddy’s old cameras: Part II {personal post} | Franklin TN family photographer

As promised yesterday, I’m here to show you the Polaroids. I haven’t been able to figure out anything about how old the more retro-looking one is.  I remember seeing him use it in the 80’s during my childhood, but that’s about it.  Anyone else have a grandparents or family member who used to use one back in the day?  Have any of you tried out the newer models on the market now?
