Perry family | Franklin TN child photographer

*Just a reminder that I don’t show whole-family photos between now and Christmas because I know many plan to use those for gifts or holiday cards.*

A couple weeks ago, I posted a photo on my Facebook page of a new spot in Franklin that I’m offering for mini and full sessions.  This mom, who is friends with a couple of my clients, saw it and emailed me within minutes of the post because she HAD to have photos done on that blue porch.  I like the way she works!  Haha.  This was my second shoot there so far, and I know I’m going to be back there a lot in the near future as other families see how gorgeous it is.  This family was a lot of fun to work with and were a different change of pace– my clients are usually babies or young children, so this session was a lot faster with a 5 and 7 year old who smiled on command and could follow directions in each shot.  These first images may be my favorites because they show their sweet relationship.

Whitaker family: Franklin family photographer

*Just a reminder that I don’t show whole-family photos between now and Christmas because I know many plan to use those for gifts or Christmas cards.*

I last photographed this family a couple years ago when big brother was 5 months old.  Shortly afterward, they had to move out of state.  Well, they were back in town for the weekend visiting family, and this time they have a new little one who is– you guessed it– five months!  How fun is that?  They emailed me a couple months ago requesting a session because they said our first session was their favorite they’ve ever done!  That made my day– ok, maybe my week.  I love that they treasure those photos.  We took a really fun variety of images, including one just of the parents because it was their anniversary yesterday!

I have two new locations in Franklin this fall that I’m offering for mini or full sessions.  You saw one of the spots in Abigail’s preview.  The other location is where I met the Whitakers.  Both have beautiful light and really different textures and backdrops.  There are so many things I love about going somewhere new– the primary reason, though, is that it really gets my creative juices flowing.  I got to our spot a little early yesterday, and I ended up calling this family to ask them to meet me at a different place on the property first because I had a picture in my mind using this old bridge.  You’ll see photos of it below.  After I satisfied that vision, we moved on to our originally planned spot down the road, where we also got some amazing images.  You could easily do an entire session in just one of those spots, though, if you wanted.

Abigail is 1! | Franklin TN baby photographer

It’s around this time of year that I stop putting photos of whole families in my previews because I know that many (probably more like most!) plan to use fall session photos for Christmas cards and gifts. I hate not getting to share a whole category of photos, but it’s best to save a little surprise for friends and family members, right? Just a reminder– clients can always choose to not have a preview at all, which would make all images a surprise for their loved ones.

I have been photographing Abigail for a year. My, has this baby girl grown! Make sure you check out the comparison photo below that shows her with my white basket as a newborn, 6 month old, and 1 year old. I love establishing a rapport with a family that makes each session even easier than the one before. We met at a new location I’m offering in Franklin this fall for both mini or full sessions, and I’m stoked about it! Look at the gorgeous background! I already have a handful of others families who have requested this spot for their upcoming sessions.

Wesley | Franklin newborn photographer

>You guys last saw this family at their maternity session in Franklin. Fast forward a couple months, and baby Wesley is here! He is one of my baby plan babies, so I get to see him for a newborn session and then a couple more times as he grows. Love that! Want more details about baby plans with ECP? Click on the “Details” tab above. This little fellow is the spitting image of his big brother– all the way down to the dimples in both cheeks. It is amazing. I know you’ll love these images as much as I do! My gray flokati (the furry rug thing) got to be used for the first time this session– and I LOVE how it turned out both for the sibling shot and the mama+baby shot!

Alexander is 1 | Franklin TN family photographer

I last saw this family a couple years ago when big brother was celebrating his first birthday. We met up a little over a week ago on an overcast (and much cooler!) Saturday. Within a couple hours of this shoot, I was on my way to the beach for a little vacation with my family. It was such a high note to leave town on because we had a lot of FUN at the shoot! Little Alexander was all smiles! He was pretty much in love with my red rocking chair (which big brother also had a turn with, as you’ll see below), and both boys thought it was pretty hilarious to get to hug and play on my quilt.
