Sam is 4 months | Nashville Franklin studio baby photographer

Little Mr. Blue Eyes came to see me in the studio on Tuesday for his 4 month session. He is such a sweet baby, and his mama is quite smitten with him! Frankly, I’d take him home with me if she’d let me because he is such a happy little guy. 🙂  Just like most 4 month olds, he had his hands in his mouth almost the entire sessions.  When I wasn’t shooting, I was pulling his hands out of his mouth!  Ha.  I love documenting that, though, because it is true to this age.  We had to work to get a good pushing-up (tummy time) photo, but he did it!  Scroll down to the end to make sure you see it.

Matthew + Charlotte | Nashville Franklin child photographer

These two cuties came to my studio yesterday. I’ve been photographing this family since big sister was 3 months old, so it’s been fun to see her grow and change and to get to know her baby brother.  They have the exact same eyes, don’t you think?

We did a couple different things in the studio, like using the bed you’ll see if you scroll down a couple photos. The bed is a really fun opinion for a full session in the studio. It usually gets some good smiles from kids because they think it’s pretty funny to sit on a bed to take photos! Let me know if you’d like to incorporate this in your next ECP session. We could even do something really fun like a pajamas session…

After playing in the studio a bit, we drove nearby to take advantage of the beautiful morning light (and fabulous weather)!  I’m so thankful that spring weather is slowly arriving.  I know my clients are, too!

Katie | Nashville newborn photographer

This precious little peanut is my smallest newborn yet! She was born a few weeks early and weighed just over 5 lbs (on our session day). You know the photos of baby rolls that everyone loves? Well, that was not happening with Miss Katie because she didn’t have an extra squishy ounce on her. She is totally perfect, though, as her parents and big brother can attest. She was also very cooperative at her shoot in my Nashville studio. 🙂 Her big brother got to play on the studio trike as a reward for listening (got to love a fun reward!)  I made sure to get a photo of him, too, because he was having a blast.  We got to use some really fun props and set-ups for Katie’s part of the shoot, as you’ll see below. Katie’s mama had told me that she loves pink and girly things, so that definitely influenced the choices that I made when setting up. I hope you all enjoy these!

Spring/Summer scheduling update | Nashville Franklin TN child photographer

Hey everyone!

I wanted to update you with my currently booking schedule.  I’ve been talking to some expectant mamas recently who are due in June and August, and they’ve all commented about it maybe being too early to plan a newborn session.  I assured them that isn’t!  I’m taking on limited sessions this summer since my boys won’t be in school.  Interested in scheduling a session?  Click on the “Get in Touch” tab above.Scheduling update

Jacob is one! | Nashville child photographer

This little fellow came to the studio on Sunday afternoon for a half session. For those of you have been following ECP for a while, this is my former “mini” session– 20 minutes and 15 images. Short and sweet, which is a favorite of both kids and dads. 🙂 These are available at both my Nashville studio or on location in the downtown Franklin area.  For more information, click on the “Get in Touch” tab above.

Jacob turned one a few days ago, so he came into the studio for a few portraits. He was full of smiles and was such a good listener! We put him on one of my quilts, and he just sat there and smiled for several minutes. I don’t think I’ve ever had a one year old sit still for that long!  He wasn’t a big fan of wearing his birthday hat, but I managed to snag a photo before he pulled it off. We also had Mom and Dad jump in at the end for a sweet family image.
