The Landrys | Nashville family photographer

If you guys have been following me for a while, you’ll recognize these sweet faces. We lucked out with really perfect weather on Saturday. Honestly, it was pretty amazing that it was sunny considering we’ve had rain just about every day for a week before then and since. I met them at Percy Warner Park, which always appeals to children (boys especially) since they can explore, stand on the rock walls, walk up the steps, etc.  These boys were particularly interested in all of the dandelions.  We both started and ended our session blowing the blooms; you’ll see the former below.  I think it’s so cute how the three boys are all blowing at the same time.

Harper is 1! | Nashville Franklin baby photographer

Harper and her family came to see me at the studio this weekend for her 1 year old shoot. We started with some regular portrait images and ended with a cake smash.  Harper was a dream– silly and smiley the whole time.  She was happy to sit, stand, walk, you name it!  Once we got to the cake, she started eating one dot of icing at a time.  It was pretty hilarious.  Though she never dove wholeheartedly into the cake, she definitely enjoyed herself.  This preview is a little extra long because one year olds with cake are just way too much fun. 🙂

Wade family | Franklin TN family photographer

This sweet family won my 2014 Client Favorites Contest, and part of their prize was a free half session!  The other part of their prize was a 16×20 canvas of their winning image.  Mom was so excited about it that she asked to order a canvas of her other daughter so she could hang them together.  Here they are before I delivered them.

We met yesterday morning in downtown Franklin (such a fun spot). The four of them are a treat to photograph because they are just naturally happy people. Big sis is sweet and chatty; we were buds within minutes of meeting at our first session last fall! The smiles here are just so natural and easy.

Ellie: 6 months | Nashville Franklin baby photographer

I’ve photographed Ellie’s big brother a few times over the past two years, but this was the first time that she got in front of my camera. She was sweet and smiley, especially when her mama was around. During our session, we got a wide variety of expressions out of her, which had us laughing.  The tongue sticking out is definitely a favorite of mine, but I also am kind of obsessed with the first image below.  Aren’t her eyes dreamy?

With little ones, you never know if they are going to love being on their tummy (or even stay there long enough for me to take a photo!), but Ellie was a champ! Apparently rolling over isn’t part of her skill set yet, so that worked to my advantage. 🙂 Friends, make sure you scroll down to see the hilarious face she made in a photo with her big brother. I couldn’t resist sharing it!

Ava | Franklin TN child family photographer

I met Ava and her parents in Franklin yesterday, and we walked around some of my favorite streets on the outskirts of the downtown. Ava has been coming to see me for photos for around two years now, and I always love getting to see familiar faces! Sessions with 2 year olds can sometimes be tricky (I have a 2 year old, so I speak from personal experience!), but Miss Ava was in a great mood and ready to play.

Below, you’ll get a little peek at my new FAVORITE antique quilt.  Some of you know that antique quilts are my “thing”.  I have quite a collection now to use for sessions!  This one is a white and brightly colored bowtie design with yellow edging, and it is perfect for just about any outfit color combination.  I always bring a selection of quilts and/or props to my sessions, so please let me know if there is a particular item you’d like for me to bring to your shoot!
