Lemonade stand mini sessions | Nashville studio child photographer

Hey guys! I’m so excited to announce my next themed mini session. I’m going to be offering lemonade stand minis at my Nashville studio in July. We’ll smile for some photos and then enjoy a cold drink. Sounds like a great plan for a hot day, right? I’d love for you to come see me!

Will | Nashville newborn photographer

As a Baylor grad, I can’t believe I willingly did photos for an Aggie and a Longhorn.

Kidding!  Ha.

This sweet family has deep Texas roots.  That was actually one of the first things we talked about when we first met a year or so ago at church.  Will’s dad requested that we incorporate his cowboy boots in the session somehow, so you’ll see that below.  The whole family joined me at my Nashville studio yesterday for the newborn session. This little guy surprised everyone by coming into the world a little early, but he has been a champ! He snoozed almost all of our session, which made my job that much easier.  I hope you guys love this preview!

Ann Ramsay | Franklin child photographer

One of my clients suggested to her cousin that we do a photo shoot while they were in town visiting over the weekend from Arkansas, so we got together yesterday in Franklin for me to take photos of her daughter. I also snuck in a couple mother-daughter photos because I learned that they haven’t had any professional pictures taken together before! Of course you know that I couldn’t let them leave without rectifying the situation.  🙂

Though it was a little warm and muggy outside, we luckily missed the rain. It actually started raining within minutes of me getting back home!

Grant family | Franklin child photographer

The majority of my clients (not counting their parents) are between 5 days and 3 years old. That’s true for a lot of family photographers, I bet. When I have kids who are just a little older (like the girls from this shoot, who are 5 and 8, respectively), it is amazing how differently (and often, quickly) the shoot goes.  They listen!  They can take posing direction!  I can take my time to adjust their hair, skirts, and shoes because I know they aren’t going to run off!  Ha. I love crawling on the floor with one year olds and chasing after two year olds, but I have to say that it is kind of a break for me to have older kids in front of my camera. These two sisters rocked it, as you’ll see below. They were engaged and full of smiles! We had a great time this morning at Harlinsdale.

Haley: 6 months | Franklin baby photographer

Haley and her family met me at one of my favorite spots in Franklin for her 6 month shoot the other day. She was a happy baby and proved the point why this may be the very best age– smiling, grabbing at her feet, happy to be held, happy to sit, etc. I love laying a baby down on one of my quilts for posing, and I was thrilled that this family was drawn to this antique bowtie-design quilt, which is easily one of my favorites because the colorful pattern just screams spring!  I always bring along a few different quilts to sessions so we have options depending on what they are wearing.
