*Just a reminder that I don’t show posed whole-family photos between now and Christmas because I know many plan to use those for gifts or Christmas cards.*
I enjoyed meeting these two girls and their mom on Saturday. It was a fun change of pace to work with teenagers, which is a fairly rare occurrence for me. As you’ll see, these girls are gorgeous! For our last photos, they asked to wrap up in my quilt together, which looks so cute.
One thing they did (that I think is easy to forget in the hubbub of prepping for a shoot) is to be really intentional about your makeup. These girls looked really polished and ready to go, which photographs so well. The way I think of it is to take your regular look up a notch. If you don’t normally wear eyeliner, maybe try lining your top lashes. If you normally just wear gloss, try doing a lipstick with a little color under that gloss. You want to look like yourself, of course. Those little extra steps do make a difference in photos, though. When my family had photos done back in April, I actually decided to get a blow-out (my first!) and my makeup done that day. Knowing that those details were taken care of definitely removed some stress for me. I’d highly recommend my clients consider this!
