Hi, I’m Elizabeth!

I've lived in the Nashville/Middle TN area for 18 years now, which is practically considered being a local compared to the influx moving to town! It's wild how much the area has changed, but we still love calling it home.

On most photographer's "About me" pages, you'll find some story about how they always had a camera in their hand as a child.

Not me.

I honestly kind of fell into having a business. The reason I first was interested in having a "real camera" was in late 2008 when we were thinking about growing our family. I knew I'd want to have a better camera to take baby photos. A few months after our oldest was born, my husband deployed to Iraq. I spent that year as a mom with lots of time on my hands once the baby was sleeping, so I took a camera class online one season, and then I practiced when he was awake. I took my first photos for clients in 2011, which feels pretty wild to say now, 11 years later. As a former 4th grade teacher, I assumed I'd be returning to the classroom in some form or fashion, but this business has provided me a totally different path. It has been such an unexpected gift.

You might want to know...

  • I'm a mama to three kids. Two boys-- 13 and 10-- and our 5 year old daughter who we adopted in early 2020.
  • My favorite things to shoot? Easy. Mamas and their babies top the list. It doesn't matter how old the child is; there just isn't anything else like that relationship. I also especially love that 6/7 month milestone session when baby is sitting up and personality is starting to shine through!
  • I love cooking! When my husband gets home from work, I thoroughly enjoy getting to be in the kitchen by myself while he and the kids play. It is such a break for me, and I usually have headphones in and an audiobook going.
  • I still get to flex my teaching muscle a bit-- I volunteer in a weekly Bible study (Bible Study Fellowship) and teach a class for preschoolers. There, I'm surrounded by some of the most dedicated and honorable women I've ever met.
