*Just a reminder that I don’t show posed whole-family photos between now and Christmas because I know many plan to use those for gifts or Christmas cards.*
As we’re getting in the middle of my busy season, I’m going to be keeping my intros to previews pretty short and sweet. I do want to specifically point out the time of day from this shoot because I know sometimes clients are looking for a specific “look” for their shoot. This is what you’d call a “golden hour” session because it was shortly before the sun set. Throughout the day, the sun gives off different light, and that light changes colors depending on the sun’s location. As you can see here, we ended up with some images with really warm shadows and light (even orange-y), which are directly related to the time of day. You can get a similar warm light with sunrise, but it isn’t quite the same. You will never see this kind of light/image from a shoot taking place in the middle of the day. I love that I get to shoot both in the morning and in the late afternoon because both are beautiful in their own right!
